BetVictor Poker Bonus

Like with most poker sites, BetVictor Poker offers a generous signup bonus for new players. Fortunately, in this case, we do mean generous. The site will match 200% of your initial deposit, up to $1000. This is a lot more than most other sites, making BetVictor Poker one of the top choices for anyone looking to make quick cash.

To get your bonus, you do have to play. This is pretty standard in the online poker world, and the way it works at BetVictor Poker is very straightforward. The bonus pays out in 10% increments, earning one dollar per eight Action points. Action points are part of BetVictor’s reward program, and you make them by contributing to the rake back on all table games.

So, for example, if you manage to max out and deposit $500, then you are eligible for a bonus of $1000. Ten percent of $1000 is $100, which means that you’ll earn a hundred bucks every time you clear 800 Action Points. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that you only have thirty days to claim this bonus, so the more you deposit, the more you’ll have to play to earn your bonus.

To get Action points, you have to contribute at least $.50 towards table rakebacks or tournament fees. You get one Action point per $.50, so the more you play, the more you earn. These Action Points are not only redeemable for the welcome bonus; they also work for all rewards as well as the VIP scheme.

New Player Freerolls

For new players, two special tournaments are set up during your first six weeks of play. The first tournament is the 500 Euro New Player Freeroll, and the second is the 500 Euro Guaranteed New Player Turbo Tournament. Both of these tournaments are available on Wednesdays.

Games and Features

Part of the appeal of BetVictor is the generous variety of table games offered. For poker enthusiasts, you can find all the action you want on this site. Featured Poker games include:

  • Texas Hold Em (limit and no-limit)
  • Omaha Hi-Lo
  • Seven-Card Stud
  • Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo
  • Five-Card Stud
  • Five-Card Draw
  • Razz

The best part about BetVictor Poker is that you can play all of these games for free or for real money, so you can practice your skills before you front a real bankroll. When you are ready to play for cash, there are plenty of options to choose from, from micro stakes games starting at $.01 to high-limit games such as 50/100 or No-limit Hold Em.

Blaze

For poker players who like to play fast, BetVictor offers Blaze Poker, which allows blind seat assignment (based on how long it has been since you paid a blind) and quick folding. With Blaze Poker activated, you can get through games a lot faster and potentially earn a lot more.

In addition to the poker games, BetVictor has a ton of offerings for casino-style games, including BlackJack, Three Card Poker, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, and Roulette. Simply put, you can find all of the action you could ever want at BetVictor.

Sports fans also have something to look forward to on this site, as BetVictor also has an extensive sport betting section.

Traffic to the site is fairly robust, with an average of up to 1700 players on a daily basis. Since BetVictor Poker is part of the MicroGaming network, it benefits from being part of a larger poker community that feeds into the site. Also, many of the casino and sports betting people come and try their luck at the poker tables, so you can usually find action at all hours, not just during peak time. One thing to remember, however, is that Hold Em and Omaha are generally the only games going during off hours, so if you prefer Stud or Draw games, you’ll have to sign on at peak times.

Software and Applications

Fortunately for most poker players, BetVictor Poker is available on a variety of platforms. Since switching to the MicroGaming Network, BetVictor has benefitted from some technological upgrades, meaning that you can access the site from virtually anywhere and on almost any device.

There are three primary ways to access BetVictor Poker. First is through your browser using a no-download Flash version of the software. Second, you can download the BetVictor application to your computer and play from your desktop. Third, you can access the site via a mobile app that works on both iPhones and Android.

With regards to operating systems, BetVictor Poker works on both Mac and PC, so you should be able to access your profile from virtually anywhere.

BetVictor Poker Review Software

BetVictor’s Poker software is both highly advanced while remaining simple for the user. The graphics and gameplay are not as flashy as some of the other sites out there, but most players will appreciate the fact that it doesn’t drain their computer’s RAM.

Notable software features include the ability to multi-table, although if you do this through the browser, you may notice a lag. Additionally, you can customize your avatar, as well as the color of the deck. For serious poker players or those looking to turn pro, you can take notes during every hand and review hand history so you can learn as you go.

What’s also nice about BetVictor Poker is that the site caters to a more friendly crowd. Some poker sites are home to vicious sharks who will tear into any fish they come across, but not so at BetVictor. To help with the casual gameplay atmosphere, the site offers Find a Friend and Table Announcement so that you can start a game with people you know, instead of always playing against random strangers.

Allowed Third Party Poker Add-ons

BetVictor Poker has a strict policy on the use of third party software. For full details, check this help page.  From what we can make out, you’re better off not using any third-party apps.

Promotions and VIP Scheme

As we mentioned above, the basic outline of the VIP scheme at BetVictor is based on Action Points, which are earned as one point per $.50 paid on table rakebacks and tournament fees. You can use your Action Points to receive the welcome bonus, and they are also used to determine your ranking on the site.

There are five levels of VIP on BetVictor: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. All players start off at the Bronze level, and to advance, you have to average a minimum number of Action Points. These are listed in the table below:

Once you have advanced into one of the top four levels, you don’t have to keep your average every single month. Instead, you are granted a 30 day grace period, which means that you only have to keep your average for every two months. If, however, you don’t maintain that average after two months, then you are demoted to the next level down.

VIP Rewards

BetVictor Poker Review Reward

Rewards are offered in the form of cash back, and the amount you can earn depends on your ranking on the site. For example, Bronze members can receive up to $15 per month, based on 25% of all points earned. Typically speaking, however, you can earn $1 cash back for every five Action Points accrued. For Diamond members, there is no limit to how much cash back you can earn, and the site looks at 75% of your total points to determine the overall amount made.

In addition to cash back offers, the site allows you to use Action Points to pay for tournament fees, at the rate of $1 per 100 points.

Additional Promotions

In addition to the standard reward and VIP scheme based on Action Points, BetVictor has three other promotions that occur on a regular basis.

  • Deal of the Week: as the name would suggest, every week there is a different deal that players can take advantage of. For example, one week the site offered Platinum status to any member who earned 300 Action Points or more within that week. Typically, however, the Deal of the Week is just bonus points offered on top of your regular point earnings.
  • Bad Beat Jackpot: to get this bonus, you have to opt in by contributing two cents per hand on every table. The way it works is that anyone who loses with a four of a kind or better gets the jackpot. The allocation of the bonus is as such: 40% goes to the “winner” of the bad beat (the one who lost the hand). 20% goes to the winning hand. 10% goes to the other players on the table. 10% goes to other players who are betting similar stakes, and 20% goes back to the house to reseed the next jackpot. If you don’t opt-in for this bonus, however, you are not eligible to get it.
  • MPN Poker Tour: BetVictor players have several options to win a buy-in for the next MPN Poker Tour, as well as win a prize package that will send you to the tournament and pay for accommodations.

Customer Service and Support

The support system at BetVictor is fairly standard. You can contact the support team 24/7 via email, live chat, or phone. Typically you can get any issue resolved right away, but sometimes it can take a few days, especially regarding refunds or withdrawals.

Company Information

BetVictor has been around for a long time, starting as a bookmaker all the way back in 1946. The original name of the company was Victor Chandler but recently changed to BetVictor. It’s been online since 2002, and it’s licensed and regulated by the Gibraltar Gaming Commission. The site has offices in London, Gibraltar, and the Far East. The company itself is owned by the Bet Victor Group, which also manages other bookmaking and gaming sites.

Famous BetVictor Poker Ambassadors

As far as we could tell, there are no notable poker ambassadors for this site. For those interested in Football, however, ex-England striker Michael Owen is a brand ambassador for BetVictor.

BetVictor Poker Review Conclusion

We liked:

  • Interface is easy to use and well presented
  • Customer support is comprehensive; live chat is fast

We weren’t so sure about:

  • Poor selection of games
  • No instant bonus and limited freerolls – tough to get started with low bankroll

Overall, if you’re looking for lots of action from a reputable company, then BetVictor is the place to go. We like the easy to use VIP scheme, the massive signup bonus, and the overall layout of the site. We also like the soft competition and casual atmosphere generated on the site. BetVictor seems to know how to cater to poker players, meaning that you can find all of the action and features you could want. We highly recommend BetVictor Poker for both beginners and experienced players alike.
